As parents of kids ages 4-9 we have loved Jungle Rapids. It is a long drive, but if you know the entire day will be rainy, it’s been worth it for us.They have a large arcade, and a kids jungle that allows our kids to safely play indoors and get their energy out. We’ve only been on rainy days, so we can’t speak to the water park.

Other than relaxing, watching TV and enjoying the gorgeous view from the house… This is one of the best non-shopping ways for a group of adults to spend a rainy day. They are closed on Mondays, but have availability even on short notice most other days. Price varies based on the size of your group, but 2 people can expect to pay about 45.00 each.

This NC Aquarium is between 11.00 - 14.00 per person, but may have reciprocation with your Zoo Membership, so call or visit the website to check. It’s a long drive, but if you take the Fort Fisher Ferry out of Southport, it can be a fun one!
